Promotional Content
Sometimes it can feel awkward, especially when you want to promote yourself or something you have created. Showcase what you have to offer. What services do you provide? What products do you have on offer? People won’t be able to spend money with you if they don’t know what they get!
Entertaining Content
Make them smile! Post something fun and light-hearted, jump on a trend, share some behind-the-scenes, and share pictures of your dog!
Inspiring Content
Make your audience think about why they need you, and get them thinking about how you make their lives better. You could share a testimonial, a before and after, or share a project you are working on.
Think about the content that you see that inspires you. Did you see something that made you make an impulsive purchase?
Educational Content
Show them that you know what you are talking about, don’t share all your secrets but you could share your top tips or definitions of common terms.
Reactive Content
It’s when you jump on the bandwagon and create content in response to something that is currently being talked about – it could be a news topic, a meme, or a current trend. It’s great because…
o It’s a trending topic so its more likely to get eyes on it, and fresh eyes too
o It makes you seem relatable and relevant
o It’s often funny so people will remember it
How do you ensure your content works and doesn’t end up looking silly?
o Make sure it is timely, trends change so you need to be quick
o It must align with your business values and match your brand – if it doesn’t fit will look out of place and your audience will notice. Don’t jump on the bandwagon for the sake of it
o Don’t cross any lines – what would Gran say?
