Each social media platform is different, make sure you tailor your content to suit. Ask yourself the below questions to help make a plan.
Who am I targeting?
Why am I using this platform?
What content works best on this platform?
How can I make my posts unique on this platform?
Image size matters.
Make sure your images are the right size for the platform you’re posting on and check it. There’s nothing worse than someone’s head being cut off.
Frequency of posts.
The frequency you post should be tailored to each social media platform. Some require lots of posts for the most impact, whilst others don’t. Above all, only bite off what you can chew. Be consistent. There’s nothing worse than a page doing lots and lots of posts over a few weeks and then nothing.
Demographics
Look at your demographics for each platform and write content to suit. You will likely have some overlap and may not have to tweak between platforms too much, but it is worth checking to ensure your language suits your audience.
Keeping Track
Measure your results! How do you know if you are achieving your goals if you don’t keep track? Make sure you review your insights so you know what you’re doing is working.
